Fundraising Manager

Would you like to play a part in protecting the world's oceans and the amazing animals that call them home?

Since 2014 the SEA LIFE Trust has provided vital practical care for marine animals through our sanctuaries and provided support and funds to conservation projects and campaigns making a positive difference to marine habitat and wildlife across the world.

We have an opportunity for a dynamic and target driven Fundraising Manager to join our team and play a key role in securing funding for the world's first beluga whale sanctuary (seen recently on the acclaimed ITV documentary John Bishop's Great Whale Rescue) and the UK's highly regarded Cornish Seal Sanctuary.

In this exciting role you will generate significant income to support our sanctuaries and conservation projects across the world and:

  • Develop and deliver a fundraising plan for the SLT that increases income to support the SLT’s sanctuaries and wider strategy
  • Develop and deliver an effective communications plan to support the SLT’s fundraising activity to maximise engagement amongst key SLT audiences
  • Lead, develop and motivate individuals and networks to ensure delivery against plans and strategy

To succeed in this role, you'll need to be focused on results and able to demonstrate a strong track record in generating significant donations (£50K+), developing a network of contacts and securing support from organisations and individuals in the form of sponsorship or donations. Pro-active and solutions focused you'll be able to present confidently to people at all levels and inspire them to support the Sea Life Trust.

Location is flexible with regular travel to our Head Office in Poole, Dorset, UK and occasional travel to our sanctuaries.
